Your physical health is important but, following a heart attack, consider how your mental health would need some help as well.

Depression is seen in many individuals following a heart attack. Social isolation, difficulty handling emotions, and too much stress can impede recovery. Psychological counseling should be considered in post heart-attack rehabilitation plans.

We know that not all depression has a clear or dramatic cause. But a recent study by a Dutch epidemiologist suggested that the incidence of subsequent cardiac events was especially high for patients whose first diagnosis with depression was after they suffered a heart attack.

Your physical health is important, but after a heart attack, you should take care of your mental health as well!

We have a staff experienced in the treatment of depression. Call 608-742-5020 for an appointment. Our address is 2639 New Pinery Road, Suite 1, Portage. Offering you and your family compassionate and professional advice.
